![]() FRIENDS OF THE ŌTAKI ROTUNDA TRUST
Health Camp Road, Ōtaki Beach Otaki Children’s Health Camp, the first permanent site for this iconic New Zealand service, was closed in 2018. The Trust was formed to preserve and restore the ‘Rotunda’. This 1916 military hospital ward, which has Category 1 Heritage status, was brought to Otaki in 1931 to be the camp’s first dormitory. It is historically unique and architecturally superb.
